Job Summary: We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join our dynamic consultation firm in Jordan. The ideal candidate will support the accounting team in managing daily financial tasks, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations. Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Record Keeping:
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including invoices, receipts, and payments.
    • Record financial transactions in the accounting system and ensure all entries are complete and accurate.
  2. Accounts Payable and Receivable:
    • Process accounts payable transactions, ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors.
    • Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing clients and following up on outstanding payments.
    • Reconcile vendor and customer accounts to ensure all transactions are recorded properly.
  3. Bank Reconciliation:
    • Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure all bank transactions are accounted for and discrepancies are resolved promptly.
  4. Financial Reporting:
    • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
    • Support the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
  5. Expense Management:
    • Track and manage employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies.
    • Process and reimburse approved expenses accurately and timely.
  6. Tax Compliance:
    • Assist in the preparation and submission of tax filings, ensuring compliance with local tax regulations.
    • Maintain accurate records for tax purposes and support audits as needed.
  7. Audit Support:
    • Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
    • Ensure all financial records are organized and easily accessible for audit purposes.
  8. General Administrative Support:
    • Provide administrative support to the accounting department, including filing, data entry, and document management.
    • Assist with other accounting projects and tasks as assigned by senior accountants or management.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of accounting experience, preferably in a consultation or professional services firm.
  • Skills:
    • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
    • Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
    • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills.
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
