Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented IT & Operations Support officer to join our dynamic team at an FMCG company in Jordan. This role combines IT technical support responsibilities with operational tasks, contributing to the efficiency of both the IT infrastructure and daily operations of the business. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT support, coupled with familiarity in the fast-paced FMCG industry.
Key Responsibilities:
IT Technical Support:
- Provide first and second-line IT support to employees, troubleshooting software, hardware, and network issues.
- Maintain and troubleshoot the company’s IT systems including servers, databases, and networks.
- Install and configure new hardware, software, and applications, ensuring smooth onboarding and system updates.
- Assist in ensuring data security and backup systems are functional and regularly updated.
- Monitor the performance of IT systems and report on operational efficiency to leadership.
- Support the maintenance and updating of internal software applications.
- Manage user access rights and permissions, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Collaborate with external vendors for IT-related support and system improvements.
Operations Support:
- Assist in streamlining operational processes and integrating IT solutions to enhance productivity.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (e.g., logistics, production, and sales) to resolve technical and operational challenges.
- Monitor supply chain data and assist in tracking inventory systems, providing support for stock management software.
- Collaborate with the operations team to identify inefficiencies in workflows and propose technology-driven solutions.
- Assist in the preparation of operational reports by maintaining accurate data and ensuring the proper integration of IT systems with operational tools.
- Contribute to the implementation of business process improvements and help in the adoption of new software and technologies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in IT support within the FMCG sector.
- Strong technical knowledge in IT infrastructure, troubleshooting, network management, and user support.
- Familiarity with supply chain and inventory management systems, and their integration with IT solutions.
- Proficient in common IT tools such as Microsoft Office 365, Windows Server, and various enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical staff.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of data security practices and IT best practices.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with cloud computing and SaaS applications.
- Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, such as Odoo, SAP, or Microsoft Dynamics.
- Experience working with supply chain management software or logistics platforms.
