Job Summary

The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company, ensuring financial stability, and driving growth through strategic financial planning and management. This role involves managing the finance team, developing financial strategies, conducting risk management, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.

 

Key Responsibilities

  •  Financial Oversight and Strategy
  1. Develop and implement financial policies and strategies that align with the company's overall business objectives.
  2. Oversee the preparation of all financial reporting, including income statements, balance sheets, and reports for government regulatory agencies.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting
  1. Lead the financial budgeting, forecasting, and planning process.
  2. Analyze financial data and performance, providing actionable insights and recommendations for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
  • Cash Flow Management
  1. Ensure effective cash flow management and maintain the financial health of the organization.
  2. Monitor and manage expenditures and investments to align with fiscal strategies and regulations.
  • Team Leadership and Development
  1. Manage and develop the finance team, fostering a collaborative departmental culture and enhancing employee engagement and professional growth.
  2. Conduct performance evaluations and implement development strategies to enhance staff skills.
  • Risk Management
  1. Identify and address financial risks and opportunities for the company.
  2. Implement comprehensive risk management measures to protect the company’s financial well-being.
  • Compliance and Controls
  1. Ensure compliance with statutory law and financial regulations.
  2. Develop and oversee internal controls to prevent and detect financial fraud.
  • Stakeholder Management
  1. Maintain strong relationships with external partners and stakeholders, including banks, investors, and auditors.
  2. Negotiate contracts and manage financial legal documents.


Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Finance Manager or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles.
  • Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations.
  • Excellent command of financial and accounting software.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Analytical mind with good problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics; CPA or CMA preferred.
